Overview

At Raj.B Atelier we strive to deliver garments that meet the highest standards of quality and fit. Because we work with both ready-made stock and made-to-measure/custom garments, we maintain a clear policy to balance customer satisfaction with the realities of bespoke production.

Key Condition (Please read carefully)

Ready-made items can be returned or exchanged within the stated window (see below). Garments made from your measurements (custom/made-to-measure/bespoke) cannot be returned; instead these items are eligible for re-customization, remake or free alteration if there is a valid fit or manufacturing issue. This distinction is applied because measurement-based garments are produced uniquely for you and cannot be resold as regular stock.

Scope & Definitions

Return: sending an item back to Raj.B Atelier for refund, store credit or exchange. Exchange: replacement of an item for another size, color or corrected remake. Ready-made / Stock: items produced off-the-rack and not customized to the customer’s measurements. Custom / Made-to-measure / Bespoke: garments stitched to the customer’s specific measurements or custom design instructions.

Return & Exchange Windows

  • Ready-made items: Request a return or exchange within 7 days of delivery and ship back within 14 days (unless otherwise agreed).
  • Measurement / Custom garments: Report any manufacturing defect or major fit issue within 48 hours of delivery. Requests for alterations or re-customization should be raised within 7 days of delivery.

Eligibility Criteria

To be eligible for a return (ready-made) or exchange, items must meet all of the following unless the item is defective:

  • Unused, unwashed, and in original condition with tags and packaging intact.
  • No signs of wear, odor, perfume, or alteration by the customer.
  • Proof of purchase (order number/invoice) provided.
  • Return/exchange request made within the allowed timeframe.

Non-Returnable / Non-Exchangeable Items

  • Custom, made-to-measure, or bespoke garments once production has commenced are not eligible for return (see re-customization/alteration options below).
  • Items that have been altered by the customer, worn, soiled, or damaged after delivery.
  • Accessories labeled as final sale (ties, belts, cufflinks, certain shoes) and intimate garments with hygiene seals broken.

How to Request a Return or Exchange (Ready-Made)

  1. Email our support team at info@rajbatelier.com with your order number, name, contact number, and reason for return or exchange.
  2. Attach clear photos of the product and packaging (if damaged) and any supporting documentation.
  3. Wait for our Return Authorization (RA) — do not ship items before RA approval unless instructed.
  4. Ship the item using a tracked courier as instructed. Keep the tracking information until the return is complete.

Re-Customization, Alterations & Remakes (Measurement / Custom Garments)

If your measurement-based garment has a fit issue or manufacturing defect, we will:

  • Assess the garment after you report the issue (photographs and details required).
  • If the issue is due to stitching, workmanship or a clear manufacturing defect, we will offer a free remake or correction.
  • If the issue is minor fit adjustment, we offer complimentary or low-cost alteration services depending on the case — we will confirm terms in writing.
  • We do not accept returns of measurement garments for refund purely due to change of mind; re-customization or remake is the remedy provided.

Inspection & Approval

All returned items and rework requests are subject to inspection by our quality team. For ready-made returns, refunds/exchanges are only processed after the item passes inspection. For custom garments, rework or remake decisions are made after inspection and discussion with the customer.

Return & Exchange Shipping Costs

  • If return/exchange is due to our error (wrong item or proven defect), we will cover reasonable return shipping costs or provide a prepaid return label where practicable.
  • If return is due to customer choice (change of mind, wrong size selection) for ready-made items, customer bears return shipping cost and any re-shipping cost for exchanged items.
  • Custom garment rework returns: if we ask for the item back for remake due to our error, we will cover return shipping; otherwise return shipping may be charged.

Refunds & Store Credit

For eligible ready-made returns:

  • Refunds are issued to the original payment method wherever possible. Processing time is typically 7–10 business days after we accept the return and complete inspection.
  • Alternatively, we may offer store credit or exchange options if preferred by the customer.
  • Original shipping charges are refundable only if the return is due to our error.

Timing & Processing

Once we receive a returned item and complete inspection, we will notify you and process the refund/exchange or begin the rework/remake. Processing times vary depending on the remedy (refund, exchange, remake) and may take between 5–21 business days.

Restocking, Fees & Deductions

In limited circumstances (e.g., item not in original condition, missing tags), we may apply a restocking or inspection fee and deduct from the refund amount. Any such fee will be explained prior to processing.

International Returns & Customs

International returns and exchanges may incur customs duties, taxes or additional courier charges. These costs are usually the responsibility of the customer unless the return is due to our error. Use tracked and insured shipping for international returns.

Unauthorized Returns & Chargebacks

Do not send items back without RA. Unauthorized returns may be refused. Filing a chargeback with your bank/payment provider before contacting us may delay resolution — we request customers to contact us first so we can resolve efficiently.

Exceptions & Discretion

We recognize unique situations may arise. Raj.B Atelier reserves the right to review and approve exceptions on a case-by-case basis and will act in good faith to keep customers satisfied while protecting business realities of bespoke tailoring.
