Refund Policy

Overview

At Raj.B Atelier we put care and craftsmanship at the heart of every garment. Since many items are custom-made or tailored, refunds are handled carefully to balance fair customer service and the realities of made-to-order production. This Refund Policy explains when refunds may be provided, how to request them, expected timelines, and important exceptions.

Scope & Definitions

Order: any product purchase placed on our website or in-store. Customized / Made-to-measure: garments made or altered specifically to the customer's measurements or design instructions. Defective: items with manufacturing faults, significant stitching/structural issues, or incorrect materials compared to the order description.

When Refunds Are Available

  • We may offer a full refund if you receive an item that is damaged or defective and you notify us within the required timeframe (see “How to Request a Refund”).
  • If we are unable to fulfill a prepaid order (for example, out of stock or production cannot be completed), we will offer a full refund.
  • If we cancel your order prior to dispatch for any reason, you will receive a full refund to the original payment method.

When Refunds Are Not Available

  • Made-to-measure, bespoke, or customized garments are generally non-refundable once production has started, unless the item is defective.
  • Items that have been altered, worn, soiled, or damaged after delivery by the customer are not eligible for a refund.
  • Change of mind, incorrect size selection, or buyer’s personal preference are not automatically grounds for refund on custom items. Exchange or alteration options may be available in such cases (see “Exchanges & Alterations”).
  • Sale items or promotional discounts may be non-refundable unless the item is defective.

Partial Refunds

In certain cases we may offer a partial refund — for example, where a minor defect is agreed and the customer accepts a price adjustment rather than returning the item. Partial refunds are assessed case-by-case and require agreement from Raj.B Atelier and the customer.

How to Request a Refund

  1. Contact us immediately at info@rajbatelier.com (include your order number, name, and contact details).
  2. Submit clear photographs of the item showing the defect or issue (close-ups of stitching, fabric, labels, and overall view).
  3. Provide any supporting information: order confirmation, size/measurement details, and a description of the problem.
  4. Return shipping instructions (if return is approved) will be provided by our team. Do not send the item back before approval — unauthorized returns may not be accepted.

Important: You must notify us within 48 hours of delivery for damaged/defective items (timeframe may vary for special cases — we will review genuine exceptions). If no contact is made within the specified period, we may not be able to accept a refund request.

Return Authorization & Inspection

If we approve your refund request, we will issue a Return Authorization (RA) and provide return shipping instructions. Returned items must be in the condition specified in the authorization. Upon receiving the return we will inspect the item. Refunds are processed only after inspection confirms the defect or qualifying reason.

Return Shipping & Costs

  • If the refund is due to our error (wrong item shipped, defective product), we will cover return shipping costs or provide a prepaid return label where possible.
  • If the return is due to customer’s change of mind or sizing choice (and not a defect) for non-custom items, you may be responsible for return shipping costs and any original shipping charges may not be refundable.
  • For high-value or international returns, we recommend using a tracked and insured courier — we are not responsible for items lost in transit unless we provided a prepaid return label.

Refund Method & Timeline

Approved refunds will be issued to the original payment method used at purchase wherever possible. Refunds typically take 7–10 business days to appear in your account depending on the payment provider and bank processing times. In some cases, refunds may take up to 14 business days.

Exchanges, Alterations & Repairs

For sizing issues or minor fit concerns, we prefer to offer alterations or exchanges rather than refunds where feasible:

  • Alterations: If an item is within our alteration window, we may offer free or paid tailoring adjustments depending on the nature of the issue.
  • Exchanges: For non-custom stocked items, exchanges may be offered subject to availability.
  • For bespoke/custom garments, we will evaluate whether corrections can be made. If a defect is confirmed and cannot be corrected, a refund or remake will be discussed.

Order Cancellations

If you need to cancel an order, contact us immediately. Cancellation before production/shipping may be possible and could be eligible for a full refund. Once production has started (cutting/stitching) or the order is marked as dispatched, cancellation may not be possible and refund eligibility will be limited. Any cancellation that is allowed after production begins may incur production or restocking fees, which will be deducted from the refund.

Restocking & Processing Fees

In rare cases, partial refund amounts may be reduced by restocking or administrative fees — for example, where an item has been used or is not in original condition. Any such fees will be explained before refund confirmation.

Fraud, Chargebacks & Disputes

If a payment dispute or chargeback is filed through your card provider before we have resolved a return or refund, we will cooperate with the payment processor to provide evidence. Unwarranted chargebacks may result in refusal of future service until the matter is resolved.

Exceptions & Discretion

We understand unique situations may arise. While this policy covers standard cases, Raj.B Atelier reserves the right to make exceptions or take discretionary actions in good faith to maintain customer trust. All discretionary actions will be recorded and explained in customer communications.

Governing Law & Consumer Rights

This policy is subject to local consumer protection laws. Nothing in this policy will limit your statutory rights as a consumer. If you are in a jurisdiction with specific consumer protection regulations (for example the EU or certain states), those regulations may override parts of this policy where applicable.

Privacy & Data
